Amboise and Blois, Chambord and Chenonceau…. These names have become with synonymous with the architectural splendour and rich royal history of France’s Loire valley. On this Wright History “Lavish Summer Spectacular ™”, we’ll explore seven famous locations – each one replete with momentous events, notorious intrigues, and a stellar cast of characters from French history. From Catherine de’ Medici’s Green Study to Francis I’s “modest hunting lodge”, we’ll view the great chateaux both inside and out, revelling in the ostentation and display of power.

If you can’t visit in person this summer, take a tour with us instead! And if you’re lucky enough to be able to visit in person, why not take our “tour” anyway, so you can enjoy your travels all the more?!
